If you are looking to help fight hunger in our community, we could use your help!
We are in need of all volunteers to help load and unload food for the food pantry program.
We have various food deliveries on Weds and Fridays. All are welcome to volunteer, must be able to lift 20 pounds and sometimes more! :-)
Every Wednesday and Friday we bag groceries from 8:30am to 11:00am: We need volunteers to help unload the truck and bag groceries. (This takes place at the warehouse: 620 W 16th Street Suite B, Long Beach CA 90813.)
After we bag groceries...
We distribute food to the community at one of our pantries from approximately 11:00am to 5:00pm.
Times vary depending on the pantry and the day. We operate 11 distribution sites at local Long Beach Unified Schools and community locations. Please refer to the website for locations and the schedule. www.helpmehelpu.org/ggng
We would appreciate if you can help bag and distribute, but if you can only bag, or if you can only help distribute, we appreciate your help!
If you are interested in helping us provide a much-needed service, please contact us.
You can find more information on our website at www.helpmehelpu.org. You can also view photos of pantry services on our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/HelpLB.
