Upwards Scholars, a nonprofit located in Northern California, provides academic support to ESL students, so they can attend community colleges in the San Mateo Community College District and Peralta Community College District in California. We are looking for tutors to work with our students on their ESL or ESOL class assignments. Most tutors meet with their students once a week (60 to 90 minutes) to go over their class assignments. Since students will continue with their online learning, all tutoring sessions will be virtual (email, phone, text, and video conferencing). Students and tutors work out a time and communication tool that works for them both.
