Northeast Ohio's favorite immersive holiday experience returns to the Cleveland Botanical Garden. Winter botanical displays, holiday lights and immersive, themed rooms will transport you to an enchanting world. Frost takes place November 23 - January 5, and in addition to the exhibit itself, there will be special events and activities taking place. Volunteers will engage our visitors in children’s plant exploration activities, at special events and other ways.
Plant Exploration Assistant - Staff will lead a short lesson sharing more about plants commonly used during the holidays (i.e. ginger used in gingerbread cookies). Volunteers will work with staff to assist guests with the hands on activities.
Marshmallow Roasting Assistant - This activity focuses on giving guests a chance to take a break from exploring and do a fun activity in the chilly beauty of the outdoor gardens. Volunteers assist guests with roasting marshmallows over the fire pit outside on Geis Terrace.
Sunday Mornings with Santa Events - During the show on Sunday mornings, guests can participate in some of our special events, Storytime with Santa and Breakfast with Santa. Volunteers assist at the these events with checking in guests, helping them get their picture with Santa, and during the Storytime events, assisting with crafts and restocking snack food.
