US Military Veterans are dying every day. During those last days and weeks, Veterans often relive their experiences, both good and bad. We need men and women age 18 or older to train as hospice volunteers to work within our We Honor Veterans program, especially if you have any military experience at all. Our veterans are requesting fellow veterans as their volunteers during end-of-life hospice care.
Mountain Valley is seeking kind-hearted volunteers to make a difference in the lives of our patients and their families. If you're looking to offer your time and care, we would love for you to join us!
Volunteer Opportunities:
* Sit with patients for companionship and comfort
* Deliver birthday cakes to bring joy to patients
* Offer emotional and practical support to family members
Serving 18 counties across North Carolina and Virginia, your presence can truly brighten someone’s day and provide them with much-needed support during difficult times.
Interested in Volunteering? Contact Heidi College today at hcollege@mtnvalleyhospice.org to get started and learn how you can make a meaningful impact.
Together, we can bring comfort and companionship where it’s needed most.

Mission Statement
we promise to create the best experience. Every patient. Every family. Every time.
Description
Since 1983, we've been providing the highest level of compassionate, quality hospice and palliative care for those who are facing serious illness. We allow you to spend more quality time with those you love and do the things that are most important to you.
We began as Hospice of Surry County, Inc, and then merged with Northern Hospice of Surry County in 2005 to form Mountain Valley hospice and palliative care. We serve patients and families facing serious illness in 18 counties throughout North Carolina and Virginia. Through our scope of services, we care for the entire family, not just a set of symptoms. We provide care for patients wherever they call home.
Our health care team consists of physicians, nurses, nursing assistants, chaplains, counselors, and volunteers. We invite you to learn more about us and our scope of services that include: support groups, Love's PEAK services for children, special programs for Veterans, Alzheimer’s support, and grief support.
