Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for managing a team of volunteers that helps with

· Recruiting, responding to applications, and interviewing new volunteers

· welcoming new volunteers and getting them started and providing periodic orientation sessions to introduce new volunteers to PAWS and to the volunteer benefits

· working with team leaders to ensure that volunteers get any necessary training for their positions

· maintaining

o a current volunteer contact list

o job descriptions for all of our positions (with help from the other committees)

· planning and running an

o annual volunteer recognition event

o occasional volunteer get-togethers

· managing the volunteer

o Google groups or other internal communication vehicles

o postings on the various online services

o resignations.

Description

PAWS is an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue and foster network, founded in Wakefield, MA, in 1982 by the late Esther Nowell. PAWS grew out of Wakefield’s Canine Control Committee and now responds to various animal-related needs, focusing on the needs of felines in the Greater Boston area-especially north and northwest of Boston.
