Are you passionate about helping others and making a difference in your community? The Colorado Mental Health Hospital in Fort Logan is looking for a dedicated volunteer to assist in our clothing lab! As a Clothing Lab Volunteer, you'll have the responsibility of folding, sorting, and organizing clothing and footwear donations. Your efforts will directly support our patient population, many of whom arrive with limited or no personal belongings.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on work in a calm, focused environment, and is looking for a meaningful way to give back. While this is not a patient-facing position, your contributions are invaluable to our client's sense of dignity and comfort. We would be thrilled to welcome you as an integral part of our team!

Description

The Volunteer Auxiliary at CMHI-Ft. Logan began in 1962 and was designed to assist Ft. Logan in its threefold purpose of:

  • patient care
  • education
  • decreasing the stigma of mental illness

That remains the focus of the program today. The role of the volunteer is not to replace, but to supplement the regular professional staff, freeing them to provide the best care and support services to patients. Our volunteers are very special people who choose to share their time and talents helping others. Each, in his or her own way, helps enhance the quality of patient care, at CMHI-Ft. Logan. Volunteers include retired people, adults and college students.
