Heartland Hospice is a non-profit hospice that is looking for caring members of the Cedar Springs Community willing to help terminally ill patients and their families. Volunteers provide friendly visits, play games/cards, read to patients or lend a gentle ear. Volunteers are the heart of the hospice team. They provide extra warmth and thoughtful gestures to our patients. Volunteers make their own hours, with flexibility to fit even the busiest schedule.

Volunteer training will be made available on a personal basis tailored to your schedule or in a group setting. To begin your rewarding journey as a Heartland Hospice volunteer, please contact:

ProMedica Hospice Mission Statement The mission of ProMedica Hospice is to provide quality Hospice care to patients with a limited life expectancy, as well as, provide support to their caregivers. The quality of life for those we serve is enhanced through palliative and specialized supportive care designed to meet the physical, psychosocial, social, and spiritual needs of the patients and caregivers. Hospice care is provided by using an interdisciplinary team utilizing an approach to the care delivered to patients either in their own home or extended care facility; working cooperatively with area health care providers and other community resources. ProMedica Hospice strives to provide care to all who are eligible and need Hospice care irrespective of ability to pay.
