If you are searching for a way to make a difference in the lives of others, you belong here. Hospice volunteers are a valuable part of our care team. We have a need for administrative volunteers to assist with:

-Filing documents
-Making cards for patients and their families
-Other administrative tasks
This volunteer opportunity is perfect for anyone who wants to serve in an office environment that is low stress and easy going yet makes a difference in the lives of others. We welcome all volunteers ages 16 and up.
Volunteering takes no advanced medical training or great commitment. All hospice volunteers are given assignments that best suit their time, skills, and interests. We support our volunteers and appreciate the important rolls they play in hospice care. We prepare volunteers with specific training including:
-The hospice care team and the volunteer role
-The hospice philosophy and end-of-life care
-Grief and bereavement education
-Emotional and spiritual support in hospice care

Being a volunteer at Gentiva can be a satisfying and rewarding experience. Volunteers can help a patient that is terminally ill make the very best of the time he or she has left through companionship and socialization. Volunteers can also provide caregiver relief to the families. Your time and talent can make a tremendous impact on the patient and their family.
