Providing comfort, care and meaning at the end-of-life.
Got an hour? Several hours? We have several volunteer opportunities in both the home setting, and our Inpatient Center which include: friendly visits, running errands or shopping, writing a family story or life history, light housekeeping, transportation, and assistance with special events. Our Inpatient Center volunteers provide assistance by greeting visitors and staffing the reception desk, helping in the kitchen, tending the gardens, doing office tasks, folding and distributing linens, providing patient companionship and patient care with our nursing staff. Volunteers in the Quilt Club meet two times per month. Just as in the beginning, volunteers continue to be key members of our team.
All training is provided at the Inpatient Center. No medical background necessary. We will provide you with all the tools you need to become a successful Rainbow Hospice Volunteer!
For more information call 920-674-6255 and ask for Volunteer Services. Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Rainbow Hospice Care!

Mission Statement
Providing comfort, care, and meaning at the end of life.
Description
Rainbow Hospice Care was founded in 1990 by a group of volunteers in the Jefferson County area. In 1995 we cared for 40 patients the whole year, and today we care for 95 patients on a daily basis. In March of 2011 we opened our Inpatient Center located in Johnson Creek, Wisconsin. We are a community based non-profit organization that serves patients with any type of life-limiting illness such as cancer; heart, lung, and liver diseases; stroke; Parkinson's disease; Alzheimer's; ALS; or AIDS, generally with a life expectancy of less than six months. Regardless of age, race, gender, faith, ethnicity, insurance coverage, or economic status, we treat all of our paitents and their loved ones with the same respect, kindness, and concern-focusing on quality of life, maintaining comfort and dignity and providing expert support tailored to each individual's unique physical, emotional, and spiritual needs and wishes.
