Help Hyattsville seniors stay in their homes and remain active in the community through the efforts of a Volunteer Network. Volunteers drive seniors to doctors appointments, pick up groceries and prescriptions, do yard clean up and organize social and civic events.

Mission Statement

Hyattsville Aging in Place is dedicated to helping Hyattsville residents stay in their homes as they age and remain active in the community.

Description

To this end, we operate a Volunteer Network that provides rides, help with errands both inside and outsde the home. We organize educational and social events, to help neighbors understand what to expect in the aging process and to understand the time as a time of opportunity, growth and wisdom. We identify services needed by those over 60, with an emphasis on health, transportation and safety.
