As a HCA Houston Hospice & Family Care volunteer, you are a vital part of the hospice care team. Our team is composed of carefully selected and well-trained volunteers working alongside the professional staff. These special people provide many different types of support for the hospice program and those coping with the terminal illness, grief and loss. We have many opportunities available to work with patient's such as companionship, running errands, playing games, reading, and listening to music.
We also have opportunities to help the team in an administrative capacity. Answering phones, calling families, filing documents, and helping with our Bereavement Coordinator are just a few ways that also help us deliver the up-most care to our patients.
Your compassionate heart and willingness to serve is the first step toward becoming a fully engaged hospice volunteer.
