Rape Response

Rape Response, Inc. is agency serving victims of sexual assault ages 13 and older with support, advocacy and education in Dawson, Hall, Habersham, Forsyth, Lumpkin & White Counties.

Volunteers are trained to answer calls on our 24/7 crisis hotline and to provide medical accompaniment in the examination during forensic medical exams. Volunteers are on-call throughout the evening into the following morning during weeknights, holidays, and weekends. Potential volunteers must be 18 or older, attend all training sessions, and need to live within a 30 minute radius of the Rape Response main office.

Rape Response serves as a system of support, education, and advocacy, providing services to the community and to survivors of sexual assault while safeguarding the dignity of each person served.

Description

Volunteers undergo training so that they can respond to crisis calls. They also accompany victims to the hospital and provide on-going support during forensic exams.
