Mission Statement
The mission of Art From the Streets is to provide a safe and encouraging environment in which the positive spirit and creativity of people experiencing homelessness and at-risk people are nurtured through their own artistic expression. These artistic endeavors form a pathway to self- determination by means of the sense of achievement, social connections, and income generated through the pursuit of their art.
Description
Art From the Streets is a volunteer-run program that provides a safe and encouraging place where unhoused, at risk or in transition persons can come to draw, paint, and create during free, four times a week during a free open studio. The program culminates each year in the Annual Show and Sale, online print/merch and community art shows in their gallery where participants exhibit and sell their work to the public.
