The Domestic Violence Response Team (DVRT) is a team of trained community volunteers who offer support to those affected by Domestic Violence through one time crisis-intervention at the police station or the hospital. The goal of the DVRT is to provide emotional support and information in a safe and confidential environment, and to teach an awareness and understanding of Domestic Violence. The volunteers participate in a forty-hour training program to prepare them as DVRT members.
