We are looking for energetic, friendly volunteers as well as volunteers who are BILINGUAL (Spanish and Punjabi) to help with all aspects of the event including, greeting and escorting, food distribution, parking, and much more. This is a great opportunity to give back to those in need in a healthy and sustainable way.
There are 2 volunteer shifts available:
9:30 AM - 2:00 PM & 1:00 PM - 5:30 PM
Ideally we are looking for volunteers who would be willing to stay for the duration onf the event! (We are providing lunch for volunteers who staff the full day.)
All volunteers are welcomed! You do not need to be bilingual to participate. All volunteers will receive and event t-shirt. Please make sure you wear comfortable clothing and shoes, as you will be on your feet and walking around during the event.

Description
WE Connect embraces The Endowment's efforts to challenge conventional wisdom that health solely happens in the doctor's office. For WE Connect, it means connecting families to money-saving programs such as the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC), which helps put money back in the pockets of those who need it most. It also means connecting families to resources that make access to healthy food a reality, such as CalFresh and WIC. It also means connecting families to low-cost and no-cost health coverage. A new health care law, the Affordable Care Act (ACA), is helping families and small businesses access more affordable prevention-based coverage.
