Built on the understanding that without inner peace outer peace is impossible, the Cafe serves healthy food staffed primarily by good-hearted volunteers from the Metro Atlanta community (and beyond!).

Mission Statement
World Peace Cafe opened in 2007 with a mission of bringing peace to others through public service. As a full-service restaurant in the heart of Metro Atlanta, we serve mostly organic vegetarian food as well as coffees, teas, specialty drinks & desserts.
Description
Owned and operated by Kadampa Meditation Center Georgia, a local non-profit Buddhist organization, the World Peace Cafe is staffed primarily by volunteers from the local community & around the world, representing all types of backgrounds. Our volunteer staff helps with all day-to-day aspects of running the restaurant like serving & cooking, as well as peripheral responsibilities like maintenance & marketing efforts.
At the core of our service to others is the Buddhist practice of loving kindness. Keeping in mind that without inner peace outer peace is impossible, we strive to cultivate this kind heart in everything we do, which creates the inspiring, peaceful experience for everyone who enters the Cafe.
Volunteers are urged to contact our Volunteer Coordinator by emailing: Volunteer@WorldPeaceCafeAtlanta.com to arrange a short orientation meeting with a manager. No previous experience is necessary, although previous cooking experience is strongly recommended for prospective kitchen volunteers.
Shifts are scheduled around your availability. Minimum age of service is 16 years old.
We welcome you to contact us to learn more and become part of the unique family of volunteers at the World Peace Cafe!
