Persons willing to be trained to respond to disasters/emergencies and help with mass care (feeding and shelter), donations management, crisis management, emergency assistance to survivors, service to relief workers, and referrals to other agencies. Persons will also have opportunities to help with other special events around the area as part of Emergency Disaster Services. Persons will have the opportunity to deployed regionally, nationally, and internationally, depending on availability, to serve those affected by disasters.

Description
Disaster services program is a 24/7 ministry responding to the needs of those affected and responding to emergencies and disasters, providing spiritual counseling and practical service. Whenever disaster strikes, The Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Services team stands ready to serve. Whether it is a devastating tornado, house fire, or flooding a Salvation Army canteen full of willing volunteers is shortly on the scene to provide hope. This included feeding those in need, providing shelter, and connecting victims with their loved ones. We stay, we help, we serve, until the job is done.

- The only time commitment is when volunteers are deployed on disasters. Different disaster require different time requirements, which will be told to volunteers prior to disaster deployment.
- Complete two required training courses, complete online profile, complete a background check.
