Story Boutique is a not-for-profit, upscale resale shop supporting the work of Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care. We sell new and gently pre-loved home decor, clothing, shoes, and accessories in a neat, clean, boutique setting in Leawood.

We’re looking for friendly volunteers to fill regular shifts helping customers with shopping and purchases and accepting donations.

There are also non-customer-facing duties which may include sorting donations, organizing and cleaning, creating displays, researching prices, photographing things to sell online, setting up online sales, upcycling items in creative ways, or writing for our blog.

This is a great place to be of service in your community, meet new people, and make a difference. You will be working with friendly volunteers and customers in a beautiful space, so it promises to be a rewarding experience!

Description

Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care is a nonprofit organization offering a range of services for people of all ages and at any stage of serious illness. We've been providing comfort and care to the seriously ill and their families in the greater Kansas City area since 1980.

By providing both hospice and palliative care, we are able to assist patients and their loved ones at any time following a serious diagnosis. Hospice is provided when the focus is primarily on comfort; palliative care is provided when it is too early for hospice care and the patient may be seeking treatment aimed at cure.
