You can help create opportunities and give hope to individuals with disabilities by volunteering for Easter Seals North Texas’ signature Walk With Me event, a one-mile family, fun walk at Globe Life Park in Arlington! We have opportunities for event set-up/breakdown, checking in participants, leading family activities and encouraging and supporting walkers along the course. This is a great opportunity for groups and organizations! The success of Walk With Me for Easter Seals North Texas depends upon the dedication and support of our volunteers so we thank you for donating your time and effort to helping those with special needs. Mission Statement
Our purpose is to change the way the world defines and views disabilities by making profound, positive differences in peoples’ lives every day. We are a Texas 501(c)3 with seven service lines: Autism Services, Child Development Center, CLASS Case Management Services, Employment Services, Home Care Services (focusing on older adults with Alzheimer’s and Dementia), Outpatient Rehabilitation, and Work Incentives Planning Assistance (WIPA). We serve clients of all ages, from infancy to end of life, in these seven service lines.
Description
Easter Seals North Texas is a non-profit organization serving children and adults with disabilities and other special needs in North Texas since 1939.
Every year we provide services for more than 4,500 individuals with disabilities and their families in a 34-county service area across North Texas.
Our services evolve with the needs of the community, and are provided in our four centers, client homes, workplaces, and other community locations.
Current services include:
- Autism Spectrum Disorder Services
- Outpatient Rehabilitation
- Employment Services
- Community Living Assistance and support services (CLASS)
- Home Care Services
- Work Incentives Planning and Assistance Program (WIPA)
