Are you a veteran seeking to help other veterans?
Infinity Hospice Care is a Level 4 member of the WeHonorVeterans program, a collaborative venture between the Department of Veteran Affairs and the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization that seeks to improve end-of-life care for our nation's veterans.
Veterans have unique end-of-life needs. One of the ways we help to meet these needs is by pairing veteran volunteers with our veteran patients. Veteran volunteers can establish a unique rapport with those who have also served in the military and have similar life experiences. Veteran volunteers also help in formally recognizing veteran patients for their military service, they help train our staff on relevant topics, and they can help patients and family connect to helpful VA-related resources.
If you are a veteran interested in serving your community in this way, please consider joining our Volunteer program. Volunteers are truly the heart of what we do.
Infinity Hospice Care serves patients in Reno, Fernley, Fallon, Carson City, Washoe Valley, Minden, Gardnerville, Silver Springs, Dayton, and Yerington. For more information on our volunteer program, please call Laura Schopen, Volunteer Coordinator, at Infinity Hospice Care (775) 852-6002 or email at vc1.reno@infinityhospicecare.com.
