Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sacramento is looking for individual volunteers and teams of volunteers to help with new home construction, home repair and in the Habitat ReStore.

We are currently building in Folsom! In Spring of 2025 we will be building in Citrus Heights! Come out and be a part of something amazing!

Volunteers in Construction help to build new homes for families in need. Our neighbood/repair program volunteers assist existing homeowners in need of home repairs. Volunteers in the ReStore help to assemble product, clean, organize, and assist customers.

Individual volunteers must attend a HabiTour prior to volunteering and be at least 16 years of age. Volunteers age 16 and 17 must work alongside a signed up parent/guardian on a 1:1 basis.

Mission Statement

Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope.

Description

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sacramento is part of a global, nonprofit housing organization operated on Christian principles that seeks to put God’s love into action by building homes, communities and hope. Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sacramento is dedicated to eliminating substandard housing locally and worldwide through constructing, rehabilitating and preserving homes; by advocating for fair and just housing policies; and by providing training and access to resources to help families improve their shelter conditions. Habitat for Humanity was founded on the conviction that every man, woman and child should have a simple, durable place to live in dignity and safety, and that decent shelter in decent communities should be a matter of conscience and action for all.
