The Buddy Walk has established itself as the premiere advocacy event for Down syndrome with more than 300 walks expected in 2012. The purpose of the Buddy Walkis two-fold: to promote acceptance and inclusion of people with Down syndrome and to raise funds for local and national education, research and advocacy programs. The Buddy Walk spreads the message that individuals with Down syndrome possess a wide range of abilities and are active participants in our community.

Last year our event attracted more than 1,200 walkers from Central Iowa!
