Are you looking to make a difference in a hospice patient's life?
Amedisys Hospice of North Kingstown, RI is seeking caring and compassionate people to volunteer with our hospice patients in the southern RI area. Volunteering in hospice can be incredibly meaningful and rewarding for both patient and volunteer!
Hospice volunteers can:
-Provide companionship to patient(s)
-Read/play music for patients (musicians welcome!)
-Provide caregiver respite and support
-Assist with pet care for home patients (walking a patient's dog, etc.)
-Simply be a caring presence for our hospice patients!
The North Kingstown office serves Warwick to Westerly and the Newport/Middletown area. Volunteers can visit patients wherever they live, in their homes, Nursing Facilities or Assisted Living Facilities. Your comfort level is always a priority!

Description
Beacon Hospice provides the best end-of-life care to terminally ill patients. The Hospice philosophy recognizes that every person approaching death deserves to die with dignity, respect, free of pain and in an environment that promotes quality of life. We provide support and care for persons in the last phases of life so that they may live as fully and as comfortably as possible. Hospice recognizes dying as part of the normal process of living and focuses on maintaining that quality. We provide physical, social, spiritual and emotional care during the last stages of life. We provide this care to all patients and ther families 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in both home and facility settings.
