Mission Statement

Our Mission: To help kids succeed in life through mentoring and intense physical fitness and sports. Our Programs: Help kids master goal setting skills, build grit and forge character

Description

Our Programs: Are staff supervised one-on-one and small group mentoring workouts. Our workouts are intense and designed to give students an opportunity to practice Grit. Our students also complete goal setting and SEL activities with their mentors.

Mentoring (one-on-one, peer & group)

Focused Goal Setting & Achievement- Mentors teach kids to set Physical, Academic, and Social goals. Teaching how successful people set goals & make plans to achieve.

Intense Physical Fitness Workouts - we call it the sweaty metaphor for life.

We do this in the belief that the end result is a capable and motivated young person inspired to reach their full life potential as an individual, committed family member and active contributor to their community.

Friends Fitness is a great way to give back to the community. The mentor puts a child through a workout which is tough and very rewarding. The program is unique and well designed. Attainable goals are set with each mentee based on academics, physical and social aptitudes. There is a great network of volunteers. Everyone is positive and supportive. I would certainly recommend this program to anyone looking to give back and create an active atmosphere for a child.
