Description

The Coachella Valley Historical Society, Inc. is dedicated to sharing the history of the Valley with tourists, locals, and schoolchildren through tours, programs, and research. The campus includes the main museum which is housed in the historic Smiley-Tyler house, an original adobe home. We also have a restored 1909 schoolhouse which gives students an opportunity to see what attending school was like for the early pioneer children of the area. The museum is dedicated to the community and our volunteers are key to the continued success of the ability of the museum to continue to do this.
