Mission Statement

CST Mission: Healing international survivors of torture and trauma through counseling and related services. CST Values: Integrity, Compassion, Making a Difference.

Description

Since 1997, CST has provided mental health services, social services, medical services, and legal services for over 1,700 torture survivors in Texas and Oklahoma, including refugees and asylum seekers. CST provides education and trainings for professionals, students, and the community. CST is the sole accredited torture treatment center in the south-central United States. We depend on the kindness and generosity of volunteers to help us accomplish our mission.

Please Note:

Due to the sensitive nature of our clients' experiences, we require that potential volunteers agree to a background check and attend a Volunteer Orientation.
