Mission Statement

Protect our Communities Fund is working together with Ranchita Rocks Festival to host an all green music and camping festival in the San Diego backcountry. The Mission is to fight the proposed high power line route scheduled to run from Mexico through Anza Borrego State Park, the largest State Park in the Nation. If this proposed Sunrise Power Link is approved, Anza Borrego will be the first "de-regulated" State Park in American History. We are going to raise funds to fight this power line as well as highlight and educate on alternative energy choices.

Description

Ranchita Rocks Festival will be held Sept 12th-14th in Ranchita, CA, outside the Anza Borrego Desert State Park. There will be lots of music, food, vendors, s kids zone, comedy camp, speakers, healing arts, crafts, FUN etc. available during the three day festival. All funds raised will go to help fight the proposed high power lines and to raise consciousness on alternative energy choices. We must save this precious wilderness from explotation and from becoming the first state park in American history to fall victim to big business
