These opportunites are available at the following facilities; Bayonne, Clifton, East Brunswick, Egg Harbor, Newark, New Brunswick, Union and West Orange. Assists Therapist with variety of non-therapeutic duties. Acts as an opportunity for student/interns to observe actual therapy treatment sessions. Excellent area for students going into the Speech, Physical and Occupational Therapy fields. 3-4 hour shifts once a week. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday between 8am-7pm.

Swim Volunteers Needed

To offer 1:1 assistance to boys and girls ages 3-10 years old who are participating in an adapted swim program. Having 1:1 volunteers with children promotes safety for children, encourages participants to feel comfortable in the water, and gives individual attention and encouragement to help each child do his or her best. You do not need any special training or certification. You must be 15 years old to volunteer.

I would like to volunteer because I want to help children in need. I have been looking for something to do other than travel this summer, whether it is a job or volunteering. This would be perfect for me. I know there are a lot of people volunteering for this but I would really appreciate it if you could consider me as a volunteer. Thank you!

I love this hospital and the way I am treated. I am now entering my second year. The children are truly amazing and the staff is wonderful. I feel blessed with this opportunity.

I would be likely to recommend this because it is difficult to find volunteer work or community service for 15 year olds!
