A women's volunteer organization for community improvement. Part of the General Federation of Women's Clubs.
Description
Lexington Woman's Club is a volunteer organization that has been organized since 1947. We operate a clothing center to dress elementary school children in need. They receive 2 new outfits, a coat, hat, gloves and any extras, as well as a bag with washcloth, comb, toothbrush, floss and toothpaste.
This year we dressed over 1200 students.
Our second mission is three full tuition scholarships to a state university. One is an undergraduate and the other two go to women over 25.
