We help families who have children experiencing difficulties at school, home, or in the community due to an emotional or behavioral disorder. The families we serve are often overwhelmed & underserved, with children who have varying degrees of emotional needs, many of the parents do also. The Lifeline Family Resource Center is the northern office of the Illinois Federation of Families whose primary function is to serve as a resource and referral agency where they will find someone to answer their questions and help them understand they are not alone and they have support. Through training, support, and mentoring, we help them build skills & find their voice & work to empower them to be less system dependant, & their own child advocate.
