Mission Statement
The Chicago Police Memorial Foundation is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to honoring the lives and memories of our fallen heroes. The Foundation provides support and assistance to the families of Chicago Police Officers who were killed or catastrophically injured in the line of duty.
Established in 2004, the Foundation strengthens the relationship between the Chicago Police, its business and civic leaders, and its citizenry. It allows us to express our gratitude to the fallen Officers families for the ultimate sacrifice of their loved one.
Nearly 540 Chicago Police Officers have given their lives to protect the people of Chicago. These brave men and women were more than just Police Officers. They were parents, spouses, and children. They were your neighbors, your friends, and your protectors, and each served with loyalty to this City and to you, its citizens. Each one of them went to work on their fateful day knowing the risks that came when they decided to dedicate their life to protect all of us.
