Mission Statement
To provide safe places for young people in Monmouth County, especially those who need us most, where they can receive programs and services that will help them realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.
Description
The Club conducts 3 programs: a traditional Boys and Girls Club program, After School Childcare, and Summer Day Camp.
The traditional Club program provides an open enrolled program of activities after school for a minimum of 5 hours per day.
Any child between the ages of 6 and 17 years can join the Club for just $8 a year. A schedule of activities in five core program areas is provided through a youth development strategy.
The core areas are: character and leadership; education and career development; health and life skills; the arts; and sports and recreation. The Club programs and services promote and enhance the development of boys and girls by instilling a sense of competency, usefulness, belonging, and support.
When the strategy is fully implemented, self-esteem is enhanced and environment is created which helps girls and boys achieve their full potential.
