About us:
Located in southeastern Pennsylvania near Valley Forge Park, the John James Audubon Center at Mill Grove (JJAC) serves people of all ages and abilities by providing premier art and environmental experiences. From 1803 to 1806 Mill Grove, a National Historic Landmark, served as the first home in America of artist and naturalist John James Audubon.
Today, the Center exhibits and interprets a large collection of Audubon's art, including his highly celebrated Birds of America - 435 life-sized images of birds. An educational center of the National Audubon Society, JJAC is also dedicated to connecting people with the natural world by encouraging guests to explorethe 175-acre estate nestled along the Perkiomen Creek.
Position Summary: Teaching children from preK-8 th grade about the natural world through in class and field trip programs. You will also be responsible for assisting in summer camp that runs from June 20 th - August 19 th. The summer camp portion of the position includes canoe trips, crafts and activities, nature hikes, and environmental education programs.

Description
With nearly 30,000 members and 21 local chapters, we accomplish our mission through statewide programming in science, education, and policy. The Important Bird Areas Program targets conservation action on 85 of the most critical habitats. Education programs based at the John James Audubon Center at Mill Grove - John James Audubon's first home in America in the heart of Valley Forge - connect more than 40,000 annually with nature, art, and history. And the Audubon At Home Bird Habitat Recognition program provides resources for landowners to make simple choices to improve the quality of their suburban, urban, or rural landscapes for the benefit of birds, wildlife, and themselves.
