2011 Santa Cruz County Point-in-Time Homeless Census Survey

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: Applied Survey Research

In January 2011, the County of Santa Cruz, in partnership with Applied Survey Research (ASR), will be conducting the biennial countywide homeless count.
On
Tuesday, January 25th, volunteers will work with expert homeless guides recommended by service providers, and drive/walk through assigned routes from daybreak to 10am.

WHY DO A HOMELESS COUNT?

The providers of homeless services in Santa Cruz County regularly seek grant funding from state and federal agencies, and private funders to support their efforts countywide. This "Point-In-Time" count of the county's homeless population helps to confirm the need for these funds, and can be used to adjust service needs as appropriate.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

Help the homeless community by volunteering for the street count scheduled
for January 25 th. We need over 50 volunteers to actively participate in the process for counting homeless individuals and families on the street, and your participation is critical to the success of this countywide effort!

To participate, please fill out the volunteer registration form:http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/JCWD9D3
