WE ARE SENDING VOLUNTEERS TO SEE PATIENTS AGAIN! BECOME A HOSPICE VOLUNTEER! Now that COVID is easing up a bit we are welcoming volunteers who want to be more interactive with our hospice patients. Become involved as a Patient Care Volunteer for Good Shepherd Hospice of Tulsa, Muskogee Henryetta, and Bartlesville. Patient Care Volunteers offer kindness, attention and thoughtful support to our terminally-ill patients and their families at a time when it means the most. Just sit with them, talk with them, read a book to them, play cards, chess, or another board game. The sky's the limit. Administrative Assistant Volunteers help in our offices in Tulsa, Muskogee, Henryetta, and Bartlesville. Volunteers mean so much to our patients and families! Training and great support from the hospice staff will be provided to you! Visit our website at: www.goodshepherdhospice.com or contact Bob Whiddon at 918-743-5067 or bob.whiddon@goodshepherdhospice.com for more information. Please call and let’s talk about the many ways you can volunteer!

Mission Statement

Serving people with compassion and dignity.

Description

COMPASSIONATE ABOUT CARE. passionate about life.

At Good Shepherd Hospice, we believe that health care is more than just a diagnosis and a treatment. It's a daily exercise in making this moment...this today...the very best it can be. We're here to help our patients achieve that goal - physically, mentally, spiritually...and for whatever that means individually.

We believe that in the passing of a person’s life, there are also extraordinary opportunities for compassion, reconciliation, spiritual healing, and renewal.

Our Volunteers play a vital role in our Hospice program. From working in the office, to creating special projects at home, to visiting to provide companionship and ease lonliness, Good Shepherd Hospice Volunteers make special moments happen again and again for the patients and families we serve.

Our History - 23 Years of Comforting and Serving

Good Shepherd Hospice opened its first office in Oklahoma City in 1995. We now have a regional presence serving Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri and Texas. Along the way, we’ve touched the lives of more than 20,000 patients and shepherded 50, 000+ family members through their time of need. Every member of our team receives comprehensive, ongoing training. We are a member of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Association, Medicare Certified and State Licensed.
