Join Portland Parks & Recreation and the South Portland Riverbank Stewards on Saturday, January 16th for a morning of planting native plants along the Willamette River in Willamette Park (SW Macadam Ave. & SW Nebraska St.). These plants will help to enhance wildlife habitat and increase the riparian area in this section of the river, an increase which will help preserve water quality.

Meet at the covered picnic shelter at the southernmost end of the park at 9am. The event will end at 12pm. Tools, gloves, training, and snacks will be provided. Please dress for the weather and bring a friend! Families and volunteers of all ages are welcome, but children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult.
