The Turtle Rock Nature Center serves as a community resource for environmental interests and concerns. The five-acre nature preserve is a home for wildlife and an outdoor classroom where visitors and program participants learn to protect our natural environment.

We seek volunteers and community groups the Second Saturday of each month from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon to assist staff with efforts to restore and maintain the nature trail. Projects include trail maintenance, non-native plant removal, and other conservation projects.

Description

We have many volunteer oppertunities throughout the City of Irvine.

Across our nation Americans of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities are donating their time and talents to schools, churches, hospitals, government, and local nonprofits in an effort to improve their communities and serve a purpose greater than themselves.

Volunteering leads to beautifying schools and neighborhoods, building homes, cleaning up after disasters, mentoring students, donating professional services, coaching youth sports teams, holding benefit fundraisers, and much, much more. These actions are critically important because volunteering today is a necessary aspect of meeting many of the needs facing our nation.
