Help local adults improve their reading and language skills by becoming a dedicated tutor in our Adult Literacy Program.

The literacy program partners tutors with students from the Culver City Adult School. Most students are from other countries, and all are beyond the ESL stage of their education.

Volunteers will meet with their student at least once a week for one hour on a one-on-one basis. Ideally you will be with the same student for the school semester or potentially the whole year!

Tutoring can be done during the day or the evenings, scheduling is very flexible.

Culver City Volunteer Program recruits, screens and refers volunteers to more than 80 local organizations.

We operate similar to a "placement" agency. Our goal is to find volunteer positions in and around Culver City that are a good match with your interests, skills, schedule and talents.
