The American Diabetes Association Orange County Office is looking for volunteers for our "Por Tu Familia" Latino Program. This is an exciting way to participate in raising awareness and funds in the Latino Community for diabetes research, information and advocacy. The next event for the Por Tu Familia Latino Program will be the Educational Conference "From Head to Toe" on October 10, 2009. These volunteers will ideally be bilingual and will participate in planning and implementing Latino Program activities in your community including Diabetes Classes, Feria, and advocacy. Additionally, these volunteers will distribute Latino Program materials in offices and education programs. Latino Initiatives Volunteers will promote ADA Hispanic/Latino resources inclusive education materials in your education program and serve as community media spokesperson.
