Mission Statement

We INSPIRE, ENGAGE, and NOURISH Community

Description

Urban Roots offers a unique opportunity that other organizations cannot. We use food and farming to transform the lives of young people and inspire, engage, and nourish the community. We encourage young people to get involved with their community and for the community to get involved with us. At the farm, our youth not only learn skills and knowledge about farming and maintaining a healthy lifestyle, but also experience the impact of community involvement and build strong relationships with other inspired interns and volunteers. This philosophy extends to the market, our community service work, Urban Roots events, and outward to the community.
