Having Cancer is hard. Finding help shouldn't be.
Cancer Resource Center
The American Cancer Society is seeking volunteers to volunteer 3-4 hours per week, Monday through Friday, in our Cancer Resource Centers.
A Cancer Resource Center is a space in a cancer treatment facility where American Cancer Society volunteers provide cancer information, materials, and information on American Cancer Society programs and community resources.
Volunteers need to be available to fill at least one shift per week during the hours of 9-4. Volunteers will be trained on American Cancer Society programs and materials in order to help patients and care givers with questions and offer support.
Description
Of all the programs provided by the American Cancer Society, patient services touch the lives and hearts of cancer patients and their families the most. The American Cancer Society is a place people call for resources, information and guidance on cancer, as well as practical help from local volunteers. The American Cancer Society's comprehensive patient service programs help with the emotional, physical and psychological needs associated with cancer for patients and caregivers
