~~YEAR ROUND~~
Friendly Visitors
Visitors needed during regular visiting hours, Sunday through Saturday, to interact with residents.
EntertainersMusicians, vocalists and comedians are needed to entrain residents during visiting hours and special holiday events.
PetsPeople with pets that are house broken and friendly, are needed to provide therapeutic stimulation to residents during regular visiting hours.
Clerical
Individuals with clerical skills or an interest in office work are needed from 9:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday.
Activity AssistantsAssistants are needed to play games, do arts and crafts, and help with other activities with the residents.
Mealtime AssistantVolunteers are needed to spoon-feed residents with feeding disabilities. Anyone interested MUST attend a training session and be able to commit at least one hour a week to feed.
Resident Community Advisory Board (RCAB) Member Volunteers are needed to serve as advisors to the Administrator on quality assurance issues, promotion of community involvement, fund-raising events and long-range planning for the facility and residents. ~~SEASONAL~~ GardenersGardeners are needed to help plant and maintain the residents' garden during the Spring and Summer months.
Four-Wheel Drive VehiclesDrivers of four wheel drive vehicles are needed to transport critical staff to and from the nursing home during snowstorms.
~~SPECIAL EVENTS~~
Holiday/Activity Sponsors Groups are needed to sponsor holiday activities for Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter and Black History Month.

The Washington Center for Aging Services(WCAS) is a long-term care nursing facility established by the D.C. Office on Aging for District residents 55years of age and older. The Center provides the elderly of D.C. with a full range of supportive, restorative and rehabilitative care in an attractive setting. WCAS is leased from the Office on Aging and managed by the Stoddard Baptist Global Care, Inc Board of Directors, a 501(c)3 corporation. We strive to:
