Bay Cove Human Services supports individuals with psychiatric and/or developmental disabilities. Our Human Rights Committee (HRC) is an advisory committee supporting these services. This volunteer position is open to anyone 18 years and older that can make at least a one year commitment. Volunteers evaluate the human rights program within the agency and monitor compliance with state regulation mainly through attendance at committee meetings and visiting residential and day programs in the metro and greater Boston area. Training is provided. Besides recruiting for our general committee, we are also recruiting for doctors, lawyers and/or nurses.

Candidates should be available 3 to 4 hours a month to attend a monthly Wednesday evening meeting, review documentation and/or participate in site visits in Greater Boston and the surrounding area. A CORI and two reference checks will be done.

Bay Cove's 1,700 highly trained employees serve more than 20,000 individuals and their families each year at more than 160 different program sites throughout Greater Boston and southeastern Massachusetts.
