Pre-Elementary Day Care
Do you enjoy the energy and enthusiasim of a pre-school age child? Would you like to help prepare these children for success when they enter grade school? This daycare in Harvey, ND offers enrichment activities for children ages infant through 6. This daycare's first priority is to offer quality care to children of employees of the nursing home. They take the general public when openings allow.
Volunteers will be assigned to a classroom and spend time with identified children one-on-one in a variety of ways. Volunteers may work on school readiness issues, such as letter, number and color recognition. May focus on social/behavioral and hygiene skills. Volunteers eat lunch with the children in a family type setting, modeling appropriate table manners.
Terms: Site is handicapped accessible, Volunteer must be at least 60 years of age, Volunteer must meet income eligibility requirement

Description
The Red River Valley Foster Grandparent Program has been in operation since 1967. It is run out of Grand Forks, ND and covers the eastern half of North Dakota.
