Volunteers help sort food, chop produce, mix salads, cook, pan food and clean the Kitchen. In all of these tasks volunteers work alongside persons in our job training program, which offers them an opportunity to fight hunger together. Description
DC Central Kitchen prepares over 5,000 meals each day with donated food from area food service businesses. DC Central Kitchen also trains unelmployed men and women in the culinary arts.
