Do you live in the Taylor , MI Area? Would you like to make a real difference in someone's life!

Great Lakes Caring Hospice, a leading care provider in the Midwest, is looking for compassionate volunteers willing to donate their time to provide exceptional end-of-life care to local hospice patients and their families. Great Lakes Caring Hospice is looking for Companion Volunteers who will visit patients in local nursing facilities or in private homes. The Companion Volunteer will provide companionship, play cards/games, watch TV, take the patient out into the garden area for fresh air, read to patient, etc. There is no physical care involved.

Musical talents are a plus!

Hours are very flexible, weekdays, evenings or weekends. Typically, we ask that you visit your assigned patient 30min-2 hours per week. Make your own schedule!

All new volunteers must complete a background check, TB test(s), Drug Test, and Orientation before visiting patients.

Great Lakes Caring is currently looking for Volunteers: Companion Volunteers, Pet Therapy, Office Volunteers, and Crafting Volunteers. We have patients in need in outlying areas as well as the Bingham Farms Area.
