Each year, Veterans Affairs honors men and women who served our country. During the week of Valentine's Day, the Corporal Michael J. Crescenz VA Medical Center hosts a week-long event at the Medical Center, community living center, and outpatient clinics.

This is your opportunity to serve those who served our country. The hospital is a 135-bed inpatient facility while the Community Living Center (our nursing home located across the street from the hospital) is home to 120 Veteran residents.

Elementary School and Middle School Students
This is a great opportunity for your to be creative and make Valentine's Day cards that can be distributed to our veterans. Cards are due by February 1.

High School Students
We could really use your help to distribute Valentine's Day cards and make visits to our Veterans. Do you play in band? Are you in Student Council? Are you a member of the football team? This is a great way to earn community service hours for graduation.

College Students
This is a great opportunity to get your dorm floor, team, or club involved in the community.

Businesses
Take time out of your busy schedule and your afternoon meeting to remember those who served our country. You can sponsor "happy hour" or an indoor picnic for our Veterans. What a way to demonstrate your community citizenship to the VA Medical Center! We just need an hour or two of your time.

VISITS MUST BE SCHEDULED IN ADVANCED. WE RECOMMEND CONTACTING VOLUNTARY SERVICE IMMEDIATELY TO SCHEDULE YOUR VISIT IF YOU ARE INTERESTED.
