Volunteers are the heart of our organization. We utilize a small staff in order to keep our costs low. Our house volunteers help us maintain a high quality of service for all of our guests.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Front Desk - greet and welcome families and visitors to the House, accept and put away pop tabs and other donations, answer phones, record referral and reservation calls, give tours to guests or scheduled groups, receive and sort mail, write thank you notes to donors, and assist guests as needed.
Housekeeping - light cleaning such as vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, and mopping, help restore guest rooms after check-out, help keep kitchen and public areas well organized, empty trash, sweep porches and sidewalks, organize playroom and supply rooms.
Regular shifts are available Monday through Friday. Hours are 9am - 12:30pm and 12:30pm - 4pm. Each In House volunteer fills one 3 ½ hour shift per week. We can also work around your schedule. Let us know when you are available and we will do our best to accomodate.
