We are currently looking for volunteers to help tutor middle and high school refugee kids in Riverdale, MD in the late afternoon. Each session typically begins with a game or group activity, and then we help the kids with whatever homework they may have. This could be English, Math, Science, Social Studies, or SAT prep.
We will require an orientation session (which will be planned around volunteers' schedules), an application form, and a background check.
We are looking for volunteers who can commit to at least one day a week for a couple months.
No previous experience necessary! If interested or if you have questions, please email Bridget Weisenreder at Volunteer@ecdcus.org.
