Help deliver a state-of-the art, million dollar mobile river education system to 7th grade students all over Austin! This air-conditioned 42-foot trailer has extending slide-outs housing seven different interactive exhibits about the Texas Colorado River Watershed, Pollution and Solutions, Water Resources Management, Austin's Underground Water System, an Interactive Electronic Game, and more!
We are looking for enthusiastic environmental education interns to help students interact with these exhibits at Austin Independent School District Middle School campuses from September - December 2015. Campus visits are held Monday - Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Interns commit 15-20 hours per week, and are part of a dynamic environmental non-profit whose staff is committed to professional development.
This is a fantastic professional and personal development opportunity for those who are passionate about water, our environment, education, or wish to complement their science background.
